3rd Grade Visits McWane Center

Winter Wonderland had a snow area!  It was neat to play with the snow inside where it was warm.  Did you know it is made out of the inside of diapers! (but clean, of course)

We also had fun ZIP LINING  through the winter trails.

We loved experiencing the IMAX theatre.  It was a huge, dome-shaped screen with 8 surround sound speakers!

Hands on Science activities filled all 4 levels:

We took a break from exploring and took a class on machines:

BUBBLE TIME

LOOK AT THE BELOW PICTURE CLOSELY:  THEY ARE IN A HUGE BUBBLE!

There was a whole floor dedicated to animals from petting the sting rays, digging for fossils, or seeing giant madagascar roaches! yuck !

The stingrays and sharks must have been afraid of us, because they didn't come close so we could pet them.

MADAGASCAR GIANT ROACHES!!!

         Face Impressions

THIS IS WHAT WE THINK OF THE MCWANE CENTER......AWESOME!

5th Grade: Election 2012 Activities

Fifth graders participated in a mock election by creating commercials, signs, speeches, and many more things that go with an election.  They even presented their programs to other grades and they voted on their favorites.

These students work on Campaign Slogans and Commercial ideas.

These students are setting up for a presidental debate.

These students are creating presential bumper stickers, signs, flyers etc for the upcoming presentation.

Using our new Kindle Fires to find information on the candidates.

4th grade enjoys working with our new Kindles!

We are studying Tide Pools this week.  The students are looking up information on tide pool animals to add to our life size mural.

They did a great job.  It is displayed in the hall for all to see.
Field Trip:  Third grade visits Point University for FUN with creative centers.
