5th grade Monuments and Memorials

5th graders have been studying Washington D.C. and presidents.  They each chose a president that they could relate to and built a relevant monument to honor them.  Here are a few:

JFK's convertible monument and William Taft bathtub monument

5th Grade enjoys a visit from Point University

Ms. Thorne from Point University came dressed as a historical figure and told of her life story.  Then we made projects to go with what we learned.  We absorbed information about Rosa Parks and how one person can make a difference.
