Hopefully this point got across to 4th graders while they painted a poster during class.

 

Owl Pellets! 4th grade dissects!

We studied owls and how they hunt their prey.  Among our pellets we found hair, teeth, and bones!  Oh my!

 

 

These girls work hard on assembling what we think is the bones of a mouse.......

 

 

We found and assembled two animals from one small pellet! Amazing!!

Field Trip to BIrmingham (5th)

5th Grade had a blast at the McWane Center.  We enjoyed the 4 floors on hands on activities and the 3D IMAX theatre.  Here are a few pictures of our experience:

5th grade is studying criminology.  They worked hard solving this mystery by doing experiments and studying the facts:

In the end, they studied their notes and compared their findings.   and ......They solved the crime!
