4th grade learns about Important Historical figures from Point University visitor.

We played Guess Who after the students researched and found out 3 facts about their famous person.  Some we knew about and some we leaned about.  All the students had fun playing and guessing the characters.


4th grade also leaned about the layers of the ocean after our Point University Guest did her lesson.

5th grade Criminology Unit

Fifth graders enjoy using our new smart board to solve the Mystery of the Pet Napper.  They are also creating brochures about criminology careers. Such hard workers!

    1. Tide pools are on the sea shore which are filled with seawater and abundance ocean life.

3rd grade visits Point University

Welcome Back!

The first few days of CCATS classes was full of excited activity.  Third grade started their invention unit off with peanut butter playdough.  Fourth grade did a working together brain teaser called Save Fred.  Fifth grade was introduced to Criminology with a study of their own fingerprints.  So glad to have all my old and new students for another great year.  Keep checking back to see what we are up to!

5th grade: Statue Worthy

 We have been studying monuments and memorials of worthy events and people in the United States. 

Assignment:  Choose a person that you think is worthy of their own statue, monument or memorial and why.  Here are some people that the 5th grade students chose:

Wilma Rudolph (Olympic gold medalist), Joe Lewis (boxer), Madame CJ Walker (Hair product inventor),  Elijah McCoy (Science engineer), Jackie Robinson (baseball player) , and Mae Jemison (astronaut)
